My journey through the world of medical science began in 1992 at the Medical School of the Free University of Brussels (ULB). Throughout my studies, I was influenced by the profound knowledge, love and passion of my mentors and alongside them I had the honor to progress as a trainee. Having graduated with distinction, I passed the rigorous exams to become a candidate of the Belgian Royal College of French-speaking Obstetricians-Gynecologists. My residency culminated with an Interuniversity Diploma in Breast Pathology from the renowned René Huguenin Oncology Center in Paris. This center is one of the leading institutions in cancer treatment, and my experience there solidified my focus and dedication to this fascinating organ.
My five-year specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology began in 1999, with the first two years at Chirec Hospital in Braine-l’Alleud, Belgium, and the final three years at Hopital d’Ixelles – Etterbeek, part of the Iris Sud hospital network in Brussels. My training provided a comprehensive foundation in both obstetric and gynecological care, with a growing interest in breast pathology as I advanced in my studies.
After completing my specialization in 2004, I served as Director of Mastology and Gynecological Surgery at Hopital d’Ixelles, and I also led the Breast Unit at Hopital Moliere-Longchamps. During this time, I was fortunate to work alongside a team of experts, dedicated to improving outcomes for women with breast conditions. I also taught as a Professor of Family Planning and Sexology at the Free University of Brussels for 3rd and 4th year students of the Nursing – Midwifery department.
In 2007, I returned to Greece, where I established my private practice in Athens. Since then, I accompany women facing breast diseases, offering guidance and support, at every step throughout their health management.
